2025-26

Goal 1

By June 2026, Grafton High School will reduce the EOC Writing SOL failure rate for Students with Disabilities (SWD) and English Learners (EL) by at least 10 percentage points through a school-wide writing initiative that emphasizes elaboration in all forms of writing, source evaluation, and usage/mechanics, supported by data-driven small group instruction.

Goal 2

For the 2025–2026 school year, GHS will increase the percentage of 9th grade students with disabilities and English Learners passing the Science and History SOL tests to 70% through targeted interventions focused on literacy, word analysis, vocabulary, and higher-order thinking skills.

Goal 3

For the 25-26 school year, GHS will decrease its overall chronic absenteeism rate from 16% to 10%, including reducing the SWD attendance rate from 27% to 15%

Goal 4

By June 2026, Grafton High School will implement the Clipper Crew MTSS/PBIS system to improve student behavior, attendance, and engagement by establishing and teaching school-wide expectations, tracking discipline and attendance data, and promoting positive competition among student crews. Success will be measured by achieving at least 80% fidelity on Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) measures.
